The CDR2Cloud Service process files based on the CDR File Type. New CDR File Types are added to the CDR2Cloud system on a daily basis however every CDR File Type has a unique name. The CDR2Cloud FTP feature allows you to FTP files from your environment directly to your CDR2Cloud Account.
Please follow the steps below to complete a successful FTP upload of your CDR file:
- Obtain the FTP Site URL, FTP User Name and FTP Password and connect your FTP Client application to the CDR2Cloud FTP URL.
Ensure that the IP Address of your FTP Client is added to the [FTP Allowed IP's] text box in the FTP Settings module as shown below. The CDR2Cloud FTP Server will reject connection attempts from your FTP Client if you try to connect from an IP Address that is not added to your FTP Account Settings.

For more information on the [FTP Allowed IP's] setting pleases see the FTP - Settings topic - Once connected to the FTP root, create a folder that has the exact CDR File Type Name for the CDR file(s) that you would like to upload. For an updated list of the different CDR File Types, please see the CDR - File Types topic
- Upload the CDR files to the folder you just created.
Ensure that you do not mix CDR files across folders. For example; Asterisk CDR files must be placed in a folder named "ASTERISK" while CDR files for a 3CX must be placed in a folder named "3CX". Folder names must be exactly the same as the CDR File Type Names. - Files uploaded to the respective folders in your account will be moved by the FTP Service. This means that the files will disappear shortly after you have ftp'd them to the folder. You can ftp the same file as many times as you need to. The file will simply be overwritten and processed. If the [Queue file on FTP Upload] setting is turned off, then you must manually process the file after it has been FTP'd to your account. To automatically process files once they have been FTP'd to you account you must turn on the [Queue file on FTP Upload] setting.
