CDR - Delete Records

Deleting CDR Records from your CDR2Cloud Account

CDR2Cloud does not provide a direct way to delete a specific CDR file that has been uploaded and processed. This means that there is no one-click feature to remove a specific CDR record(s) from the system after they have been uploaded and processed and this is by design for security reasons.

Note about Archiving

(lightbulb) Please Note that Archiving a file does not "Delete" the file or the CDR records in that file. The Archive feature of the CDR module simply allows you to move already processed CDR files (history) from the 'active' screen to the archive screen when they are no longer needed. You can also clear the CDR files listed in the Archive view by using the Clear DR Archive feature located in the Tenant - Settings module.

There is however a way to delete uploaded records that involves a couple of steps and this method will allow you to delete all records from a specific file. To be clear, this method will not allow you to delete "some" records, it is an all-or-not solution, ...meaning all records from the file will be deleted.

Delete Records by CDR File Name

Let's assume that you have uploaded and processed a CDR file to your CDR2Cloud account and you now realize that the file is incorrect and contains several errors.

You would now like to remove all CDR records from the system for that file, correct the file and reload/process the file.

Please follow the steps below to delete CDR records for a specific file:

  1. Open the cdr text file in a Text Editor ( Notepad, etc).
  2. Delete all the records from the text file leaving just a single character. This way the file will not be a NULL file.

  3. Save the text file. (You now have an empty text file).
(lightbulb) Do not alter/change the name of the text file, it must remain the same name as the file you want to delete the cdr records for.
  4. Load and Process the text file into the CDR2Cloud System.
(lightbulb) At this stage, all the CDR records for that file have been deleted from the CDR2Clod system.
  5. Make corrections to the original CSV text file as required
  6. Reload/process the corrected file into CDR2Cloud System
