A Regular Expression is a sequence of characters that form a search pattern. Billing your customers from CDR files can be very simple if you identify your customers using strings of data that exist in their complete form. However this can get very difficult as the business logic of your customer identification process gets more complicated.This walkthrough provides an introduction to identifying your customers CDR records using the CDR2Cloud Authentication Code (Auth Code) feature.

We will cover the following:

  • Reviewing the anatomy of a CDR file
  • Creating a business logic for consistently identifying CDR records to customers
  • Defining Auth Code(s) for your customer(s)

 

Lets say for example you have extracted your CDR files from your SIP Server or PBX and uploaded them into CDR2Cloud. You are now ready to process the file but you must first define the business logic that you will use to consistently identify the customer to which the calls will be billed to. Your CDR file when opened in a Text Editor and Excel look as follows:
