Plans

The main objective in processing a CDR file is to identify and associate each call record to a customer so that the call can be charged to that customers account. Call charges can be based on a simple markup of a CDR supplied call charge or a calculation based on the CDR supplied call duration, destination number and Rate Table cost.

There may be instances where you want to charge customers a fixed monthly charge for all calls versus charging customers on a call by call basis. A scenario such as this is usually refereed as a Plan or Package based billing. Plans can have many different characteristics and usually include the data items shown in the image below:

CDR2Cloud allows you to create an unlimited number of Account Plans. Once created an Account Plan can be assigned to a customers account.
